Who am I?

Coaching credentials

I am a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC), a certification given by The Coaches Training Institute. I am a member of The International Coach Federation (ICF), an international organization for coaches, and its Silicon Valley chapter.

Other professional experience

The first 12 years of my "9-to-5" career were spent as a reference librarian, followed by 5 years as a technical writer and editor [more details]. I've also had sales experience as an independent distributor of educational books for children.

In addition to my rewarding work as a coach, I continue to do free lance writing and research projects. I am an elected official in my community and serve on the board of a major San Francisco Bay Area nonprofit organization.

My professional and volunteer work has incorporated a wide variety of organizations from public to nonprofit to private, from my own businesses to government agencies in Washington, DC. My formal training combined with my life experience contribute to what I have to offer as a coach.

Value-added coaching

Because of the relationships I build in the business community through networking, I frequently am able to refer clients to professionals who may be able to assist them in different areas of their life or business. I am happy and comfortable providing this value-added service to my clients.

In addition, I offer "just-in-time" coaching for those occasions when you’re presented with a particular situation, decision, or challenge that requires immediate attention. For those times, one or two coaching sessions with me may be just what you need.
