Tip for May 2001

Choose a goal you have for your business or your life that is making you feel overwhelmed. Or, pick one you've been procrasinating about. Take a few minutes to imagine that you've accomplished your goal and bask in how you will feel at that time.

Keep that image in mind and break the goal down into manageable tasks or actions. Find a way to track the tasks. If you don't know what that is, experiment. You can always try another way if one way proves not to be effective for you.

Give yourself deadlines for the completion of each task. Focus on one task at a time. Know that each task, no matter how large or small, is an important step toward your goal. Whenever you need to, go back to remembering what it will be like when you reach your goal.

Share what you're doing with someone else. Celebrate the completion of each task as you achieve it.
