Argus Coaching
Tip for July 2003

Friends and clients -

I've been thinking about appreciation lately. What I notice about myself is that I tend to be pretty comfortable and forthcoming expressing my appreciation of others to them. But, I don't give myself the same consideration.

When was the last time you thought about what you appreciate about YOU? Until recently, I hadn't done much thinking about that at all.

So, first of all, if you haven't been showing appreciation to those in your world, I suggest you do so. Once you become comfortable with that, or if you already are, spend some time thinking about what you appreciate about yourself. You might start by writing a list of everything, no matter how small it seems, that you appreciate about yourself -- don't censor the list -- let it flow.

At times when you feel low or question yourself, I recommend that you take some time out to acknowledge what you appreciate about yourself. If you write the list down, it can serve as a resource to turn to in the event that you "forget" why you appreciate yourself.

Have a great month!

With an eye on you,
